It feels good to be an American Gangster.
Right Jay-Z? Right America?
Not to mention finally voting on the winning presidential candidate. I was beginning to think America didn't understand me at all. Aww, you do get me after all! It only took a prolonged war without end, a financial crisis and a solid democratic candidate. It also helped that the other side was incompetent. Although, I did very much enjoy McCain's gracious speech. Here's my concern now: once Bush is out of the White House, who will be taking all the political jabs? He's great comedic material. It's almost a shame to get rid of him. It's nice to see we're doing something good for the country, though, even if it does mean sacrificing comedy. And, unfortunately for us (but fortunate for comedians), I'm sure we'll be seeing Sarah Palin's smug face for years to come.
Haha. I love hearing Jay-Z telling me how to vote. He should put a beat to it and package it as his next 'comeback' album. Okay, well, I should go to work now before I'm late. Also, I'm thinking I should probably release those 30 McCain supporters out of my basement, yeah?
If you want me, I'll be listening to Low's "(That's How You Sing) Amazing Grace".
Also, first it was Scarlett Johansson, and now even M.I.A. and Blaqstarr show their love for Tom Waits. Check out this cover of "Way Down in the Hole" from Tom Waits' Franks Wild Years, and also The Wire theme song. Supposedly this video cost a mere $10 to make, and it shows.
